Greetings, boo-tiful families of Venice :)

Trick-or-Treating Guide:
Want the best spots to trick-or-treat on the Westside? Here’s where local families go all out with decorations, community spirit, and—let’s be real—king-sized candy bars:
Rialto Avenue (Post Office): Street usually closed off, haunted houses, bounce houses, mega community energy. It’s dark, not always best for the smallest ones.
Silver Strand/Strand in Marina del Rey: Beloved for elaborate displays and lots of treats (and free wine for the parents)
The Venice Canals: Walk streets, wild decorations on homes and boats—super safe for little kids.
Venice Walk Streets: Ideal for families, totally pedestrian, festive and artsy.
Montana Avenue (Santa Monica): Join the Halloween Hop (3–6pm), shops hand out candy!
Third Street Promenade (Santa Monica): Businesses give treats, extra activities.
Parent Safety Tip:
Slip an AirTag into your kid’s shoe or pocket - it gets super dark, even in the canals and kids can get mixed into other groups. You’ll be able to track their whereabouts straight from your phone. Not an Apple family or looking for something less pricey? Other parent-tested options include Tile, Chipolo, or even basic low-cost GPS tags from Amazon. For a classic backup, try an ID bracelet with your number or write your phone number with a sharpie on their arm. Sometimes old-school is the best school. Happy haunting and safe wandering!
